A pediment above a tomb portal shows a lion on either side of a rosette enclosed in a circle representing the wheel of fate of the Goddess Manat. She was the most ancient of three sister deities and represented human destiny, good measure, due proportions and justice. This is thought to have given legal protection to the tomb and its inhabitants.
